Featured Client: Nisa

Nisa came into the North St. Paul CareerForce earlier this spring frustrated with where she was in her career. She came with entry-level CNA experience but was looking to advance her career in healthcare and increase her wages. Nisa has some college debt and wasn’t in a place financially to pay for more schooling. Through our U LEAD Program Nisa was able to attend Century College and complete the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) Program. Her success in school allowed her to be a HUC intern at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood. While juggling school and work, she achieved promotions from her current employer and was offered additional employment.

  • Goal: Advance career in healthcare and become self-sufficient.
  • Achievements: Completed the HUC program at Century College
