April 9-15 is Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2017
April 9-15 is Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. During their April 11 meeting, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners recognized the 60 telecommunicators and 61 dispatchers that work at the Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center.
The Emergency Communications Center handles more than one million calls each year, marking it the largest dispatch center in Minnesota based on call volume. The center dispatches police and fire responders for all cities in Ramsey County (except White Bear Lake), and the county’s telecommunicators and dispatchers provide a critical safety link between our community and public safety responders 24/7/365.
