Full Description

The African American, American Indian and Mexican American communities arose in contrast to the otherwise overwhelmingly white state of Minnesota. Join Jimmy Patino as he traces the emergence of Black Power, American Indian, and Chicano Movements in the Twin Cities during the 1960s in the context of our traditionally labor-friendly and progressive state.

Patino is an associate professor in Chicano and Latino Studies at the University of Minnesota.
