Board proclaims February Black History Month

At their Feb. 8 meeting, the board of commissioners proclaimed February as Black History Month in Ramsey County.

The theme for the 2022 Ramsey County and city of Saint Paul Black History Month observance is “Black History for the Black Future." The Black future continues to inspire us with wisdom and creativity that are rich in truth and ingenuity, and that guides individuals and communities.

Commissioner Frethem read the proclamation with Racial & Health Equity Administrator William Moore, Myon Burrell, Essence Blakemore and Black History Planning Co-Chair Arlene Hubbard offering remarks.
