Boys Totem Town
Boys Totem Town was a residential program for adolescent boys who had been adjudicated delinquent by the Juvenile Court. The name, Boys Totem Town, evolved from the practice of turning every dead tree on the grounds into a totem pole.
On Aug. 1, 2019, Ramsey County suspended operations at Boys Totem Town.
In the months ahead, Ramsey County will work in partnership with the City of Saint Paul, the District 1 Community Council and other stakeholders in a community-based process about potential future uses of the site.
As part of the process, Ramsey County and Saint Paul will develop an engagement plan with the community to ensure there is equitable land use of the Boys Totem Town site.
