City Hall-Courthouse chambers art update
Over the past several months, the Ramsey County Historical Society has been leading a task force that has selected and worked with local artists to create new public art for display in the Council Chambers at the Saint Paul City Hall-Ramsey County Courthouse in downtown Saint Paul.
Artwork has been selected and is currently in production. The task force will meet later this month to review and approve the final artwork, artist statements and related materials. A test installation will also be undertaken in June.
Planning is underway for a public event to debut the new public art in the summer of 2020. Saint Paul City Hall – Ramsey County Courthouse is currently under restrictions that accord with public health guidelines related to COVID-19.
The Ramsey County Historical Society assembled the task force and has led the project at the request of Ramsey County and the City of Saint Paul.
