Having conversations about race provides participants with the opportunity to learn about a topic, enhanced by the personal experiences and perceptions of the group. This discussion series will base the conversations on a video or article related to the topic, followed by small group discussions. Presented in partnership with Do Good Roseville.
January 14: Microaggressions
Microaggressions are defined as the everyday, subtle, interactions or behaviors that communicate some sort of bias toward historically marginalized groups. People who commit microaggressions are often not aware of them.
February 11: White Supremacy
White supremacy is the belief that white people are superior to those of all other races, especially the black race, and should therefore dominate society.
