County golf courses begin reopening April 18

In accordance with Governor Walz’s Executive Order 20-38, Ramsey County golf courses will begin reopening on Saturday, April 18. Opening dates will range between Saturday, April 18 to Wednesday, April 22.

Special procedures have been established to limit contact and minimize touchpoints throughout the courses. Golfers are encouraged to prepay by booking their tee times online. Credit card payments will also be taken over the phone for golf and carts. Most clubhouses will be open for restroom access only; food, beverage and merchandise sales will not be available at this time.

Preventative measures

Prior to arriving at the golf course

  • Pre-payment for golf is preferred. Reservations can be made online or by calling the course. 
  • Single player reservations are not available at this time.
  • All season pass sales must be made by calling the course to set up play privileges.
  • Be prepared for limited access to handwashing. Golfers are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer to use while on the course. 
  • Courses will have modified tee time availability, with tee time spacing being a minimum of 10 minutes.

At the golf course

Clubhouses

  • Clubhouses will be open for restroom use only. The Keller Golf Course Clubhouse is closed until further notice.
  • Food and beverage sales are not available.
  • Maintain at least six feet between yourself and others at all times.

Pro shops

  • Pre-payment for golf is preferred. Payment for golf and carts at the course will be limited to credit card payments over the phone.
  • Single player reservations are not available at this time.
  • Pro shops will be closed. The Keller Golf Course pro shop will be open for restroom use only.
  • Merchandise sales are not available.

Golf carts

  • Golf carts will be limited to one rider each. Members of the same household can share one cart.
  • Due to the potential of increased demand, golf cart availability is not guaranteed.
  • Golf carts will be sanitized after each use. 

Golf course

  • The cups on all putting greens have been modified to allow for ball retrieval without the need to touch any surfaces.
  • Where possible, all touchpoints found on the grounds have been removed, including bunker rakes, benches and ball washers.
  • Please do not touch or remove flagsticks.
  • Please do your best to smooth disturbed sand with either your shoe or golf club.
  • Portable toilets are available along the course. 
  • Maintain at least six feet between yourself and others at all times and sanitize your hands often.

Driving range

  • Ball dispensing machines, tokens, basket handles and range balls will be sanitized on a regular basis.
  • When you have completed your practice, please return your bucket for staff to properly disinfect.
  • Range baskets will not be provided at The Ponds at Battle Creek due to high volume of use, and golfers will need to bring their own container to bring range balls from the ball machine to the hitting stations. Range baskets will be available for $20, which golfers can keep and sanitize as needed.
  • Maintain at least six feet between yourself and others at all times and sanitize your hands often.
