Join us for a panel discussion on health policy lessons COVID-19 provides. Our current system is ill-prepared. The bidding war between hospitals and states to overcome the shortage of PPE shows the unacceptable lack of preparedness. People losing employer coverage during the pandemic, on top of those already without coverage, point to huge gaps. Infectious disease responses are counting on everyone in order to stop the spread of the virus. The pandemic points to the need for a system that addresses health disparities and covers everyone, without exception — a system that plans ahead to address public health needs efficiently. This is an online class offered remotely using Zoom communication software. After registration, participants will receive an email from the library approximately three days prior to class with additional instructions including a link (or URL) that will be used as an invitation to enter the online class. If registering within 72 hours of class start time, expect to receive an email with the instructions and link the morning of the event.
