Donation options for clothing and household goods

We know many of you have been cleaning out your closets and finding things you no longer want to keep. Thank you for holding on to these items over the past several weeks. Some donation centers are accepting items again, including:

  • Arc’s Value Village (nonprofit thrift store). Visit its website for items accepted, hours and directions on how to safely make your donation now.
  • Bridging MN (nonprofit assisting Minnesotans coming out of homelessness accepts useable furniture, linens and kitchen essentials like dishes, cookware, utensils, etc.). Visit its website for a complete list of accepted items, hours and directions on how to safely make your donation now. Curbside pickup of items is also available for a fee.
  • Epilepsy Foundation (nonprofit offering services for individuals with epilepsy) offers curbside pickup of clothing and household items by request. Visit their website for more information.

This list was current as of May 29. Other options may be available soon. Contact your nearest donation center to find out when it will begin to accept donations. Please be patient when dropping off items, as wait times may be long. Never drop off items at closed locations. It’s not only illegal to do so, many items become unusable when left outside in the elements. The donation center then must pay for their disposal.
