Flood warning goes into effect afternoon of March 23

The National Weather Service has declared a flood warning beginning 4:25 p.m. on March 23 including the Mississippi River in Saint Paul.

Do not drive cars through flooded areas: Turn Around Don't Drown.

Major flooding is forecast. Water levels are expected to exceed flood stage at 14 feet near downtown on March 23 and rise to more than 20 feet on Friday.

Warner/Shepard Road (County Road 36/37) will close on Sunday, March 24 at 10 p.m. Follow signed detours or use alternate routes.
