Herb Brooks Foundation’s Rink Rats program at Phalen and Harding arenas

This winter, Saint Paul youth have the chance to learn to skate and play hockey for free.

Kids ages 8-12 who are interested in learning to play hockey can register now for the Rink Rats program, available at Phalen and Harding Arenas.

This free program is targeted towards youth in Saint Paul who may not have the means to play hockey otherwise and is provided by the Herb Brooks Foundation in collaboration with Friends of St. Paul Hockey, Morrie’s Automotive Group, Ramsey County Parks & Recreation, St. Paul Johnson Varsity Hockey and the St. Paul Police PAL program. Equipment will be provided to participants, including skates. Participants will learn the basic skills of hockey in a fun and safe environment with professional coaches on hand.

Sessions are held every Monday through Feb. 22 from 5:50-6:50 p.m. at Phalen and 7:40 - 8:40 p.m. at Harding. Space is still available but limited in both sessions. Register by contacting [email protected].
