Carolyn Holbrook will speak about Dr. Josie Johnson’s memoir, Hope in the Struggle, as well as her own book, Tell Me Your Names and I Will Testify. Dr. Johnson’s book chronicles her illustrious life, including her dangerous role registering voters in the South during the Civil Rights Movement. Holbrook teaches creative writing at Hamline University and is the first person of color to win the Minnesota Book Awards Kay Sexton Award. Co-sponsored by Roseville Area League of Women Voters.

After registration, participants will receive an email from the library approximately three days prior to class with additional instructions including a link (or URL) that will be used as an invitation to enter the online class. If registering within 72 hours of class start time, expect to receive an email with the instructions and link the morning of the event.
