Keller Grille Under New Management

Photo of Brittney Lingasin

Meet Brittney Lingasin, Keller Grille’s new General Manager. Although she has only been in her new position for a few months, Lingasin has truly turned the atmosphere at Keller clubhouse around. We recently had the opportunity to speak with her about her new position and philosophy on customer service.

So with all of the buzz and positive reviews about your management style we have to know, what is your secret?

Thank you for taking the time to chat with me. I enjoy the community taking an interest in what we do, and am delighted to be a part of a hospitality culture right here in Maplewood! I am not sure if I have any “secrets”, but I do live by the philosophy that Lancer Hospitality an Elior Company upholds, which is “Small enough to care, big enough to make a difference” Remembering that credo reminds me that every guest is an opportunity to wow them with our commitment to hospitality, from the golfers, restaurant patrons, catering guests and for those that join us for Sunday brunch

Tell us about your new role, how long have you been in it and what were you doing before?

I have been at Keller Golf Course as the new General Manager almost three months. I’m new to the community, but not new to the hospitality business. My previous position was Director of Operations, I worked at our busiest property for three years and was excited to grow with the company as we took on additional accounts like Keller Golf Course.

What is your philosophy on customer service?

Customer Service is an incredibly important piece of our philosophy at Lancer. It comes from the core of our company, from working hand in hand with staff daily to teach and drive the passionate enthusiasm, to chatting and meeting our new customers and listening to their needs. It’s who we are, and what drives us each and every day to be better, smile bigger, and care about every single customer that walks through our doors. We want to make a difference, and we can- client by client, day by day.

What is your vision for Keller Grille? What do you hope to accomplish as GM?

My vision is to make every guest experience an amazing experience. We are rolling out a new beverage cart menu for 2019 and we are working on new menu items that can be rotated out weekly to ensure variety and to bring a fresh approach.

How did you get into your profession? What are some of the qualifications you have for your current role?

I have been in the hospitality industry over 20 years, from running hotels, large restaurants, large catering companies, and have specialized in golf courses. Hospitality is my passion and that is what continues to inspire me.

Do you feel past experiences helped prepare you for your current role? If so, please share those experiences and how they prepared you.

From a frantic bride, to a rained-out golf tournament, to anything you can think of… things can happen. I have been in this industry long enough to understand that at the end of the day, everyone just wants an amazing experience, no matter the occasion. I have done weddings through blizzards in April, and golf tournaments through massive severe storms, you learn throughout the years how can you work with anything that is thrown at you, and make it the best. Working with clients and customers that understand and have trust in you, and your team- see how committed you are to making sure they get the day of their dreams, is something magical. No matter the venue, bringing an experience to a guest that they remember is ultimately what I have carried with me throughout the years.

Care to share a little about yourself personally? Do you have children? What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I have three teenagers at home, who are incredibly active and keep me on my toes! In my free time I am a full-time spectator mom, keeping bleacher seats warm, while cheering on my ever active kids.

My husband and I travel when we can, and try to seek a new adventure any time we can! Luckily, I have kids that know to grab the most out of life, and have fun when you can, which makes for a house filled with laughter and endless giggles.

Any other neat achievements or fun facts we should know about Brittney?

While I love golf courses, I am new to playing the game of golf, so I try not to ever play on courses where I may see a client, for fear of them seeing my “work in progress” golf swing! Luckily, I have my whole life ahead of me to keep practicing…. maybe someday I will be good enough to try Keller’s beautiful course.
