Larpenteur Avenue closed near Rice Street for emergency repairs

June 10 update: The sinkhole was caused due to a failing culvert underneath Larpenteur Avenue. Damage to the roadway is extensive and also impacts two water mains. The repair work will be significant due to the active water mains, depth of the culvert and how close the damage is to the railroad crossing. It is expected that Larpenteur Avenue will remain closed for several weeks.

Future updates will be posted to the Larpenteur Avenue culvert repair project page.
