This class will offer an overview of online security basics, anonymous browsing, maintaining devices, reading URLs, better passwords and avoiding phishing. Discover the tools and techniques you need to protect your online information.
February 23: Part 2
This class follows Part I by discussing malvertising and safe searching, using ad blockers, setting up a secure home wireless network, using standard versus administrative accounts, encryption and VPNs. Learn to better protect your digital life.

This is an online class offered remotely using Zoom communication software. After registration, participants will receive an email from the library approximately three days prior to class with additional instructions including a link (or URL) that will be used as an invitation to enter the online class. If registering within 72 hours of class start time, expect to receive an email with the instructions and link the morning of the event.
