Ramsey County seeks community-based organizations for Appropriate Responses Initiative (ARI) Community Responders

Ramsey County, through the Office of Safety and Justice Appropriate Responses Initiative (ARI), is now accepting proposals from community-based organization(s) for Community Responders.

The initiative aims to build safe communities, prevent violence and reduce disparities by investing in a wider range of response options for people in need. Community Responders will be directly dispatched to respond to calls that come in through the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) that takes all 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls for the entire county.

Eligibility

Community-based entities impacted by violence and racial disparities with the ability to implement and manage daily operations of Community Responders are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply

Proposals will be accepted through Demandstar—Ramsey County’s official online platform for solicitation posting. If an organization is not registered for Demandstar, or is new to contracting with Ramsey County, they are encouraged to visit the “Contracting with Ramsey County” webpage, where detailed instructions, including solicitation documents, are available for registering for a free account.

The deadline to submit a proposal is Thursday, June 22 at 2 p.m. Late or incomplete proposals will not be accepted.
