Road Kill
Disposal
Deer carcasses and other road kill may not be placed in the trash, dropped at a transfer station, disposed at a rendering plant, or left to rot.
Call the road authority that has immediate responsibility:
- For interstates, U.S. and state highways, contact Minnesota Department of Transportation.
- For county roads, contact Ramsey County Public Works.
- For lesser roads and streets, contact your city/township .
The property owner is responsible for the disposal of the animal carcass on private property.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has designated the following landfills in the metro area as appropriate disposal facilities for road kill.
