In addition, some programs and events have been canceled. Please check the county calendar for the most up-to-date information.

Snow removal and travel

Please drive safely if you must travel, allow plows room to work and bring a car emergency kit.

Our Public Works staff work tirelessly with our partners to keep our extensive infrastructure system well-maintained. Due to the predicted snowfall, it may take longer to plow. Please stay safe and help our county snow plow drivers out by remembering a few simple steps:

  • Slow down and give plows plenty of room to clear the roads.
  • Avoid travel during heavy snowfall or ice if you can.
  • Never pass a snowplow on the right.
  • Stay back at least 100 feet.
  • Don't cut in front of snowplows or make sudden lane changes.
  • Be patient. Be courteous.
