Recycling & Waste

Shredded Paper

Do not put shredded paper in your recycling cart. The tiny pieces are difficult to sort at the recycling facilities and won't get recycled, even if you put them in a paper bag.

Shredded paper is not accepted at the food scraps collection sites.

Put shredded paper in your trash.

You can also contact your city for possible shredding events or bring your pre-shredded documents to a local company to shred for you. See below for companies.
