Solid Waste Management Master Plan open for public input

The Ramsey County Solid Waste Management Master plan is seeking public input. The Solid Waste Management Master Plan is a regulatory response from the county that is triggered by the revision of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Policy Plan.

Led by Saint Paul-Ramsey County Public Health’s, Environmental Health Division, this 20-year written plan (that is updated every six years) will guide how the county will reduce waste, increase recycling and divert waste from landfills.

A draft of the plan is available for review and input. Paper copies are available at Ramsey County Libraries, Saint Paul Public Libraries, the Environmental Health Division office and the Plato office building. Upcoming key dates:

August 8- September 1 – Public input period open.

October 3 – Board policy discussion.

October 17 – Adoption, forward to MPCA for approval.
