It is illegal to burn treated wood in wood stoves, fireplaces or recreational or cooking fires. Burning releases chemicals that can be harmful to human health and the environment.
Do not bring treated wood to the yard waste collection sites.
Most trash haulers accept treated wood. Call for disposal and pickup options. You can also contact one of the disposal companies listed below.
If in usable condition, bring treated wood to one of the recycle companies listed below. Call to verify items accepted, hours and fees.
