Vital Records moving to the Plato Building; closed on June 2

The Vital Records office will be moving to its new location at the Plato Building (90 W. Plato Blvd.). As part of the move, the office will be closed on Friday June 2. Regular business hours will resume at our new location on Monday June 5.

Additional interruptions to services are listed below:

Birth Records

Closed on Friday, June 2. Due to the move, from May 30 to June 9, we will not have access to non-certified birth certificates (1850-2000). We will have certified Birth Certificates available. You can request these records from the State of Minnesota. Starting on June 5, the Vital Records Office will be located in the Plato Building.

Death Records

We will be closed on Friday, June 2. Starting on June 5, the Vital Records office will be located in the Plato Building. Due to the move, from May 30-June 9 we will not have access to certified and non-certified death records (1850-1998). We will have certified Death Certificates 1998 to present. You can request these records from the State of Minnesota.

Marriage Licenses

Closed on Friday, June 2.

Marriage Records

Due to our move, we will be closed on Friday, June 2. From May 31 to June 1 we will not have access to marriage records prior to the year 2000.

Notary Registration

Due to the move, notary registration will not be available on Friday, June 2. 

Credentials of Ordination

Closed on Friday, June 2.
