Winter Hazard Awareness Week is Nov. 6-10

Nov. 6-10 is Winter Hazard Awareness Week in Minnesota.

Ramsey County Emergency Management & Homeland Security, in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, is preparing for the upcoming winter season and sharing important safety and awareness tips. Each day of Winter Hazard Awareness Week is devoted to a specific topic:

Winter Hazard Awareness Week is also a good time to check your emergency kits and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office has also partnered with Emergency Management & Homeland Security to launch a billboard PSA drawing attention to winter weather preparedness. The billboard is featured at 13 locations throughout the county during Nov. 6-12.
