Work location closures and transit service interruptions on 6-1-20

From County Manager Ryan O'Connor

Colleagues:

For the safety and well-being of residents and employees and due to potential site access issues, the following three Ramsey County locations in the Midway area will remain closed on Monday, June 1:

  • 1919 University
  • Bigelow Building
  • Spruce Tree Building

Staff in these three locations are asked to check in with their supervisors via phone or email if they have any questions about their work assignments for Monday. Department leaders will also be following-up with impacted staff at these locations on a site-by-site basis with further information, as necessary.

We are continually monitoring this developing situation and its impacts across all of Ramsey County’s operation. Further notice and instructions will be provided on a location-by-location basis to staff on Monday, if needed.

Additionally, Metro Transit bus and rail service remains suspended through Monday, June 1. If you use public transportation to travel to your work location and no longer have a means of getting to your place of work, please contact your supervisor so that accommodations can be made.

These are exceptionally trying times for the community we are here to serve and we call home. If you have any additional concerns about reporting to or carrying out your work in alignment with your existing work arrangements, please contact your supervisor immediately on Monday so that accommodations can be made. Please remember that our confidential Employee Assistance Program is available for you 24/7. Please visit ramseynet.us/eap or call 888-993-7650 for more information or assistance.
