All Minnesotans 12 years and older are now eligible for vaccine.

Vaccine is now widely available at locations throughout the community. Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health continues to work with community partners to prioritize high-risk groups and equitable distribution. However, as vaccine supplies increase we have opened our clinics to the general public.

Ways to get your vaccine

Community centers

Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health has opened COVID-19 vaccination clinics for all adults.

  • Anyone 18 years or older can register for first or second Moderna shots. Even if you didn’t get your first dose with Ramsey County you can still register for your second dose with us. You must have received a first dose Moderna vaccine to register for a second dose from Ramsey County.
  • Walk-ins available up to 15 minutes before end time.

Before scheduling

  • If scheduling your first dose, make sure you are available 28 days later for your second dose.
  • Do NOT come to the clinic if you have been exposed to someone who tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Do NOT come to the clinic if you have a fever or don’t feel well.

What you need for your appointment

  • You will be required to wear and mask and social distance from others.
  • You need to confirm your first name, last name, date of birth and home address.
  • You do NOT need to provide an ID.
  • You do NOT need to have medical insurance.

Type of vaccine

  • Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health is only able to offer shots to those 18 years and above with Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.
  • Due to the extreme cold temperature required for storage, Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health is unable to store or offer Pfizer vaccine.

Our commitment to equitable vaccine distribution

Informed by our Strategic Priorities, Ramsey County is committed to an equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.

  • Ramsey County is following federal and state guidelines to distribute the vaccine in phases to have the greatest impact and prevent further spread to those most at-risk.
  • Our commitment to equitable distribution is reflected in the county’s current focus on reaching 65+ individuals from racially and ethnically diverse communities who have suffered disproportionately high rates of COVID-19 illness and death. We continue to work with several community partners to reach these populations to ensure they get vaccinated.
  • Ramsey County provides free, low barrier vaccination. Our vaccine clinics do not require proof of identification or citizenship. The clinics do not require payment of any kind, regardless of health insurance status.

State community sites

The state of Minnesota offers several community vaccination sites available to all eligible Minnesotans.

  • Schedule an appointment or walk in.
  • Parental/guardian consent required for Minnesotans 12-17 years of age.
  • Walk-ins for those 12+ accepted at the following sites: Bloomington (Mall of America), Saint Paul (Roy Wilkins Auditorium), Lino Lakes and Oakdale.
  • Walk-ins for those 18+ accepted at the following sites: Mankato, Duluth, Rochester and St. Cloud.

J&J one-dose vaccine clinic

Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health has opened a one-dose vaccine clinic for all adults. Anyone 18 years or older can register or walk in for a Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

During this time, walk-ins and appointments are available to get the J&J one-dose vaccine. Scheduling begins May 19.
