Please read through the Employee Insurance Benefit Plan Reference Guide (PDF) so that you have the necessary information to select your insurance coverage and benefits for 2019. Open enrollment meetings are also scheduled at various locations in the county.  


The deadline for submitting your elections for the 2019 plan year is November 14.

  • If you want your insurance elections to remain the same and are not enrolling in the Health Care or Dependent Care Reimbursement programs in 2019, you do not need to take any action - your current elections will continue in 2019, including dental insurance with our new vendor to match your current dental insurance elections.
  • If you want to continue participating in the Health Care or Dependent Care Reimbursement programs, you must make a new election each year or your participation will be waived.

You will again make your open enrollment elections online in Summit this year. Online enrollment directions are included in your enrollment packet. Contact your Department Benefit Representative (PDF) if you need assistance with enrollment.
