New Foster Care Provider Trainings

Ramsey County hosts information meetings for prospective foster families to learn basic information about foster care and ask specific questions to determine if foster care is right for them. In two-parent households, both parents must attend.

  • If you arrive 15 minutes after a session’s start time, you may not receive attendance credit.
  • Cancellation policy: If school and after school activities close due to inclement weather, training/orientation is cancelled.
  • We post non-weather related cancellations on the Foster Care web page and Child Foster Care phone registration line (651-266-5437).
  • Children are not allowed to attend the training or orientation session(s).

Due to COVID-19, all foster care training sessions are now being held online.

Registration is required for each training session. Register using the form below or by calling 651-266-5437
