Service alert - COVID-19

All county arenas will close to the general public starting November 21, in compliance with Emergency Executive Order 20-99. Arenas are projected to reopen December 19. Youth and adult organized sports activities are suspended, including practices, group workouts, games, tournaments and events. Parks & Recreation staff will be in communication with associations and user groups to discuss possible rescheduling of reservations. Some activities are allowed per the executive order and must be approved by Parks & Recreation.

COVID-19 information and resources

Charles M. Schulz-Highland Arena is a two-sheet ice arena located in the Highland neighborhood of Saint Paul. Ice is maintained in the north rink year-round. Ice is available in the south rink from mid-October through mid-March; the south rink is available for inline hockey and other non-ice activities during late spring and summer.

Ice sheets

Two 85’ x 200’ ice rinks are available at Highland.

Highland is available for rental for hockey, figure skating, broomball and other ice activities. Check available ice times and make a reservation.

Highland’s south rink is available for rental for non-ice events – including inline skating – from April-September. Learn more about dry floor and event reservations.

Birthday party packages are available at Highland during open skate or with private facility rental.
