*All Trekkers camps are full.

Trekkers day camps are offered to children entering 5th or 6th grade, unless otherwise noted.

Trekkers camps are held Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.​

Geocache Adventure

June 21-23 (3-day camp, Extended ages: Trekkers- Adventurers)

Your sense of adventure will guide you as you learn to read landscapes, maps and a compass. Then put it all together to use a GPS to search for caches in Ramsey County parks including Bald Eagle Lake and Otter Lake regional park.

DIY: Project Garden

June 27-30  (Extended ages: Trekkers- Adventurers)

This Do-It-Yourself Camp inspires everything garden-riffic! Tap your creativity and get hands-on experience designing and building whimsical creations and garden gadgets. Enjoy the fruits of your labor when you whip up some delicious garden dishes. At week’s end you will have new skills, recipes and projects to take home and call your own!

HammocKamp

July 11-14 (Extended ages: Trekkers- Adventurers)

Hammocking is real! Explore the nooks and crannies of Tamarack from a different perspective. Hike with your camp friends to a new area daily, set up and hang out.

Let the Games Begin!

July 18-21 or 25-28 (Extended ages: Trekkers- Adventurers)

Anything can be a game at Tamarack! Explore Tamarack’s nooks and crannies during a geocache race, experience teamwork while traversing an obstacle course, and have fun at Ramsey County’s Battle Creek Waterworks. What kind of games can you create?

Time Travelers and Trailblazers

August 1-4 (Extended ages: Trekkers- Adventurers)

Travel back in time to learn about skills of the past.  Adventure abounds while you try archery, learn fire building skills and discover survival skill.

Rock Hounds and Fossil Finders

August 8-11 (Extended ages: Explorers-Trekkers)

Do you collect rocks wherever you go? Ever wonder where they came from or what makes them look so cool? Seek out the secrets of the earth through everyday geology. Make “rocks” to eat, crack open geodes and explore earth art. Find YOUR inner geologist!

Best of Trekkers & Adventurers

August 15-18 (Extended ages: Trekkers- Adventurers)

Celebrate the end of summer with a grab bag of camp experiences. We’ll keep track of the best, most popular activities of the summer and recreate the magic this week. You never know what is going to make it on the “Best of” list so stay tuned and be surprised with the rest of us!
