We have work to do in the garden and a lot to learn! Here is a chance for visitors of all ages to work side-by-side with our gardening staff and volunteers and learn something about how the garden grows. Get ready to plant, water, weed, harvest and learn! Topics will be set as the garden season progresses, but might change along the way as Mother Nature determines what the season look like. Weekend Gardener topics will be determined as the garden season progresses.

Dragonfly Monitor Training

Did you know there are about 140 different species of dragonflies and damselflies in Minnesota? This program serves as a public program for anyone wanting to learn more about our local dragons and damsels, and a volunteer training for those who want to learn how to monitor these species at Tamarack. Become a citizen scientist today!

Spring Birds: Join our experienced birding volunteers to learn about birds of the area, how to identify them by sight and sound, and all about their lives in our woods, waters, and fields. Bring binoculars if you have them. Beginners and experienced birders welcome.
