Cleveland Avenue Resurfacing - Roseville
Ramsey County, in cooperation with the city of Roseville, resurfaced Cleveland Avenue between Iona Lane and Glenpaul Avenue. Project completion is expected in mid-October. Land surveying crews worked within the project area prior to, during and immediately after construction.
The project provided a new, smooth driving surface, catch basin repair, and curb and gutter repair. New, accessible ramps for pedestrians are now installed. The work changed four lanes of traffic to three lanes: a center turn lane and one travel lane in each direction with bike lanes in each direction. Benefits of a four-to-three lane conversion include:
- Crash reduction by allowing left turns from a dedicated turn lane.
- Improved pedestrian crossings with fewer lanes of traffic.
- Reduced speeds due to fewer travel lanes.
- Bike lanes providing a safer area for bicyclists and service vehicles.
There will be no assessments to adjacent property owners for this project.
