Ford Parkway Bridge
The concrete pavement on the roadway leading to the Mississippi River bridge on Ford Parkway in Saint Paul will be removed and replaced. Erosion control measures will take place on the river bluffs below the bridge. The project will continue through November.
Ford Parkway and the bridge will remain open to local traffic during the project. Lane closures or detours may affect traffic and driveway access may be limited during paving for short periods.
Mississippi River Boulevard reopened to vehicle traffic on the morning of November 3.
The bridge work is one of many construction projects impacting the neighborhood in 2017. The 46th Street bridge over Godfrey Parkway is being replaced in Minneapolis during this time.
Ford Parkway Improvements project partners
In order to minimize disruptions, Ramsey County, Saint Paul Public Works and Saint Paul Regional Water Services are coordinating improvements on Ford Parkway. The city of Saint Paul repaired the sanitary sewer at Mt. Curve Boulevard beginning in March. St. Paul Regional Water Services replaced the water main along Ford Parkway between Kenneth Street and Howell Street.
