County Road C Reconstruction
County Road C between New Brighton Boulevard and Long Lake Road was reconstructed in 2019. Work included utility upgrades and placement of new, smooth pavement.
A new paved trail will also be constructed along the south side of the road in 2020. The trail was delayed until next year due to weather conditions and the project timeline.
Work is nearly complete for 2019. The project is expected to last through early winter.
All four lanes of County Road C are open to traffic.
The temporary traffic signal will remain in place at the County Road C and Long Lake Road intersection through winter.
Access to business on County Road C will be maintained throughout construction. Business representatives are encouraged to share fleet information, business operation needs and travel patterns by phone or email. The project team values this information for planning in order to minimize disruption and maintain business access.
MnDOT is installing MnPASS lanes on I-35W North from County Road C to Lino Lakes.
