County Road C Reconstruction
County Road C between New Brighton Boulevard and Long Lake Road will be reconstructed. Work will include utility upgrades and placement of new, smooth pavement.
A new paved trail will also be constructed along the south side of the road in 2020. The trail was delayed until next year due to weather conditions and the project timeline.
Work on the eastbound lanes (south side of the road) began in early September.
The project is expected to last through late fall.
Both sides of County Road C are currently open to traffic. Each side is reduced to one lane while crews work on striping and other spot work.
The lane reductions will last into late fall.
Please plan ahead for extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible.
A temporary traffic signal is in place at the County Road C and Long Lake Road intersection.
Access to business on County Road C will be maintained throughout construction. Business representatives are encouraged to share fleet information, business operation needs and travel patterns by phone or email. The project team values this information for planning in order to minimize disruption and maintain business access.
MnDOT is installing MnPASS lanes on I-35W North from County Road C to Lino Lakes.
