Larpenteur Avenue Concrete Repair
The concrete pavement on Larpenteur Avenue between Malvern Street and Snelling Avenue will be repaired. Work will include concrete joint replacement, surface repairs, catch basin repairs, traffic signal upgrades, signs and pedestrian curb ramp replacement.
The traffic signal at Eustis Street will be upgraded with new LED bulbs and pedestrian countdown timers. The signals at Gortner and Fairview avenues will be upgraded with new LED bulbs and new flashing left turn lights.
Land surveying crews will be working in the project area before, during and immediately after construction.
Work is currently on hold for the duration of the Minnesota State Fair. Work will resume Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Work on the pavement is expected to last through September. Signage and road striping work is expected to last through early fall.
All traffic signal work is complete.
All traffic lanes are currently open for the duration of the Minnesota State Fair.
Temporary lane closures or shifts will be in place during construction. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained throughout the project.
Business and residential access will be maintained throughout the project.
