Lexington Parkway at West 7th Street Reconfiguration
Development at the old Riverside Learning Center at 900 Albion Avenue has led to an opportunity to evaluate a redesign and reconstruction of the Lexington Parkway and West 7th Street intersection. A new intersection will improve safety and traffic flow while creating a more clear connection to the Mississippi River.
As part of the project, Saint Paul will work on the sanitary sewer along Lexington Parkway. More information is available on the Saint Paul sewer project webpage.
Road construction will begin July 6 and is expected to last through late 2020.
Saint Paul began construction on the sewer system in May.
Lexington Parkway will remain closed to through traffic between Albion Street and West 7th Street during road reconstruction. A signed detour will be in place using Randolph Avenue, Snelling Avenue and Montreal Avenue.
Lexington Parkway will be open to local traffic only. Access to driveways may be limited at times.
No parking will be allowed on Lexington Parkway between Albion and Montreal avenues. The parking ban will last through fall.
