The previous action held by the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners was contingent on the other four counties in the Counties Transit Improvement Board (CTIB) voting to dissolve CTIB by March 31, 2017, and that all future related actions be required to return to the board for approval. The condition of dissolution of CTIB by March 31, 2017 was not satisfied.

Following the public hearing, the board will consider a resolution allowing the county to impose an up to one-half cent sales tax to support transportation investments, contingent upon the dissolution of CTIB.
