Ever wonder how to get rid of that old mattress or expired motor oil in the garage? Look it up on the A to Z Green Guide! The A to Z Green Guide (formerly A to Z Recycling & Disposal Guide), is an online disposal directory that gives disposal information specific to Ramsey County residents for hundreds of household items.
Same guide, new look
We have made some updates to our former A to Z Recycling & Disposal Guide, starting with the name. The new name A to Z Green Guide now reflects Ramsey County’s commitment to prioritizing reuse over recycling or putting things in the trash.
We’ve also updated the look and feel, added images to many items and improved the search function.
Get started
To use the A to Z Green Guide, simply type in the item you want to dispose of in the search bar and a list of disposal options will appear, with the most environmentally-friendly options listed first.
Can’t find what you’re looking for?
You can now suggest a new item by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the button/text “Suggest [item name] as a new item.” Our staff will work to add it to the directory.
