Sept. 22 town hall seeks community input on Rule 20

Community members, mental health service providers, and advocacy groups are invited to discuss their experiences with Rule 20 and suggest changes to make the process better for everyone in Ramsey County. Community input is vital to help the county reduce gaps in services. This town hall will be facilitated by Ramsey County Social Services, the Office of the Ramsey County Attorney and the National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota.

Rule 20 evaluations occur in criminal cases when there is a belief that a defendant may not be able to participate in their defense because of a mental illness or developmental disability.
