Definition

Examples of textiles include: bed sheets, towels, tablecloths, curtains, etc.

Disposal

Non-reusable clothing, linens and rags may be placed in the trash.

Rags with solvent or oil should be wrung out, dried and placed in the trash. Bring extracted fluids to the household hazardous waste collection sites for free.

Recycle

When possible, non-reusable clothing, linens and rags should be recycled (but not in your curbside recycling bin).

Some haulers offer curbside collection of clothing and other textiles. Contact your hauler or city for more information.
