Deodorant Tubes

Disposal

Deodorant tubes generally should be thrown away, since they can be made of several different types of plastic. In addition, the types of plastic may not be explicitly stated on the packaging.

Recycle

Deodorant tubes can be placed in curbside recycling only if these qualifications are made:

1. You can see a recycling number 1, 2 or 5 on the deodorant tube, AND
2. You are sure it is all one type of plastic (including the dial), AND
3. It is completely empty.

If you're unsure, throw the deodorant tube out.
