Dryers (Clothes)

Legal Considerations

It is illegal to place clothes dryers and other major appliances in the trash. Dryers must be processed to remove hazardous materials before being recycled.

Recycle

If you are purchasing a new dryer, ask the retailer if they will recycle your old one when they deliver the new one.

You can also contact your trash hauler or Best Buy for curbside pick up options.

You can also bring the dryer to one of the recycle companies listed below. Call to verify items accepted, hours and fees.

Dryers that are clean and in working condition (less than 10 years old) are accepted at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
