Flood warning goes into effect afternoon of April 17

The National Weather Service has declared a flood warning for the Mississippi River in Saint Paul that begins the afternoon of April 17 until further notice. 

Do not drive cars through flooded areas: Turn Around Don't Drown.

Major flooding is forecast. Water levels are expected to exceed flood stage at 14 feet near downtown on April 17 and rise to more than 18 feet on Sunday, April 23.

Shepard/Warner Road closed on Sunday, April 16 at 6 p.m. Follow signed detours or use alternate routes.
