It is illegal to put pressurized gas cylinders and tanks in the trash. They can cause explosions even if they are empty.

Pressurized gas cylinders and tanks are accepted at the household hazardous waste collection sites for free.

Do not put pressurized tanks in your curbside recycling bin.
