New Brighton Road closed Sept. 19-26 for culvert replacement
New Brighton Road / 4th Avenue SE in New Brighton and Arden Hills will be closed to through traffic in both directions from County Road D to County Road E2 beginning Monday, Sept. 19 to replace a failing culvert near the railroad crossing.
A signed detour will be in place using County Road D, Cleveland Avenue and County Road E2. Residential access will be maintained. Access to the county's Arden Hills yard waste collection site on Hudson Avenue will be available from northbound New Brighton Road, but not the southbound lane. Residents can also enter and exit the yard waste site via First Street SE. which feeds directly into Hudson Avenue.
The road is expected to reopen by the evening of Monday, Sept. 26.
