Full Description

Ramsey County Parks & Recreation is scheduled to hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday, March 6 at 6 p.m. to address the issue of lead sinkers in the Sucker Channel. This channel, located on the north side of Sucker Lake within Vadnais-Snail Lakes Regional Park, has seen numerous swan deaths due to the use of lead sinkers in fishing.

Efforts by staff to mitigate this problem have been unsuccessful, prompting the need for more robust solutions. Community input is essential in gaining insights into the area's usage patterns, potential closure strategies and other viable solutions.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still contribute by taking a survey about this issue.
