Ramsey County Declares May 2024 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
The board of commissioners has declared May 2024 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to celebrate Asian arts, social services and businesses, and recognize Asian accomplishments so that the cultures, histories and stories of these communities are seen and heard.
This year’s theme for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is “Advancing Leaders through Innovation."
The board encourages all residents to honor and celebrate the rich collective history by recognizing the contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islanders to Ramsey County.
Commissioner Ortega read the proclamation with community partners offering remarks.
