Ramsey County honors Memorial Day with Fallen Comrade Table display

In observance of Memorial Day, Ramsey County's Veterans Employee Resource Group has created a Fallen Comrade Table, also known as the Missing Man Table, on the first floor of the Ramsey County Courthouse. This poignant display is open to the public for viewing through May 28 and honors our nation’s fallen, missing in action (MIA), and prisoners of war (POW) service members.
The Fallen Comrade Table is a powerful symbol and longstanding tradition in military and veteran communities. Each element on the table carries significant meaning, from the single red rose to the inverted glass, reminding us of the profound sacrifice, loss, and enduring hope for those who have not returned home.
This tribute provides a space for quiet reflection and serves as a solemn reminder of the true meaning of Memorial Day. The Ramsey County Veterans Employee Resource Group extends its gratitude to all staff who contributed to bringing this meaningful display to life.
