Sheriff's Office to host community meetings, purchase and implement body cameras
Sheriff Bob Fletcher briefed the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners and County Manager Ryan O’Connor on March 26 about plans to purchase and implement personal body cameras. This plan will be implemented in two stages:
- Stage 1: Ramsey County Sheriff's Deputies.
- Stage 2: Correctional Officers in the Ramsey County Correctional Facility.
Community input will be sought in a series of community meetings throughout the county during April and May. A countywide meeting before the county board will be the final input session before the final board approval and the beginning of implementation.
Upcoming meetings
Dates and locations are being finalized and more will be added to the schedule. Plans are to hold the meetings in community gathering places.
