UV Lights

UV lights are a type of fluorescent lamp and are therefore accepted at a household hazardous waste collection site for free. Remove the light from the fixture and place it in its original packaging to prevent breaking. If you no longer have the original packaging, cushion the lights in between blankets. Do not tape lights together.

If a neon light breaks, refer to page two of the Minnesota Pollution Control universal waste guide.
